Terms and Conditions

  1.  The ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’ are hosted by Greenpeace Australia Pacific and UniLife Inc., in association with the University of South Australia.
  2.  All entries are to be original and are the works and property of the entrant(s) with all rights granted therein.
  3.  The hosts are not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant(s).
  4.  It is the responsibility of the entrant(s) to ensure entries do not infringe copyrights.
  5.  Entrant(s) must have secured permission for any image(s) or words to appear if those image(s) or words are obtained from third parties.
  6.  If words are contained within the entry, they must appear in English.
  7.  Entries must not include the Greenpeace logo.
  8. Any submitted entries must conform exactly with the entry requirements as specified on www.greenpeacedesignawards.org.au.
  9.  Any submitted entries may be used free of charge by Greenpeace Australia Pacific and/or their authorised agents in any medium, as a part of Greenpeace campaigns that seek to achieve its charitable objectives, for a period of up to 3 years after the closing date of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’.
  10.  Any entries may be used in Greenpeace campaigns only at the discretion of Greepeace Australia Pacific and/or their authorised agents.
  11.  If Greenpeace Australia Pacific and/or their authorised agents choose to use selected entries in formats or orientations other than supplied according to the competition rules, entrants agree to re-supply artwork suitable for reproduction. Greenpeace Australia Pacific will pay reasonable expenses up to a maximum of AUD $500 for production of artwork to specific sizes other than supplied for the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’.
  12.  Any submitted works can be used free of charge by the hosts and/or their authorised agents to promote the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’ in any medium (including public exhibitions, websites, promotional materials such as books, leaflets and programs etc) for a period of up to 3 years after the closing date of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’.
  13.  The hosts and/or their authorised agents retain the right to verify the identity or, eligibility of, information supplied by all entrant(s) who have entered the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’.
  14.  The hosts and/or their authorised agents retain the right to not accept entries that do not represent the Greenpeace values and campaigns as described on the website located at www.greenpeacedesignawards.org.au.
  15.  Submissions remain the intellectual property of the entrants.
  16.  No responsibility or liability is assumed by the hosts of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives, or anyone working on this project for lost, late, misdirected, stolen, illegible, or damaged entries or any other events that may occur as a result of technical, hardware or software failures.
  17.  The hosts of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’, and/or their authorised agents are not responsible for issues that are beyond their control including infection by computer virus, unauthorised interventions, fraud or other technical failures.
  18.  The hosts of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’, and/or their authorised agents reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’.
  19.  The hosts are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail to be received by the hosts on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant’¹s or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this promotion.
  20.  If, for any reason, an entry cannot be viewed by the judges, the entry will not be deleted.
  21.  If, for any reason, an entry causes computer failure, initiates fraudulent activities or any other action not in keeping with the spirit of the ‘Greenpeace Design Awards’, the entry will be deleted.
